Spring Storm Crosses New England

A quintessential early spring storm has arrived to New England, bringing snow, rain, sleet and wind. Here's the latest:



3/26 10:36am: Steady snow continues across the northern half of Maine. Snow will very gradually wind down throughout the day today.



3/26 7:55am: Snow continues to come down steadily across northern Maine this morning. Here's a look at Millinocket and Moosehead Lake:



3/26 7:45am: Overnight snowfall estimates:


White Mountains: 3-6 inches

Maine Mountains: 3-5 inches

Northern Maine: 2-4 inches

Green Mountains: 1-3 inches

Maine Highlands: 1-3 inches


The storm has overall under preformed thus far in northern Maine, other areas are on track with the forecast.


3/25 10:41pm: Estimated snowfall totals have been generally light so far, with the White Mountains leading the way with 2-3 inches so far. Northern Maine should start picking up in snowfall intensity soon.



3/25 9:20pm: Snow continues across northern New England. Here are some shots of Vermont and Maine at this hour.


3/25 4:48pm: Some bands of moderate snow are working through northern New Hampshire. Southern New England is seeing scattered light precipitation.



3/25 2:20pm: The initial burst of precipitation has arrived.


Steady snow is falling across much of Vermont and New Hampshire, rain falling in southern New England.
